Hi, My name is Margie

My Background

Hi,

My name is Margie. I received my Diploma back in Nov 1996. I’m a member of the ATMS (Australian Traditional Medicine Society). I now hold an Adv Dip. in Remedial Massage, Dip. in Aromatherapy, Cert in Lymphatic Draining, Cert III in Reflexology, Cert II Reiki practitioner & many other certificates of attainment in courses such as Myofascial Release Therapy, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Cupping, Hot Stone Massage etc. I am currently a recognised provider with all Health Funds for Remedial Massage rebates.

I have been in this industry for quite some time, always learning new techniques & updating skills. I absolutely love working as a Massage Therapist & knew this is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life while receiving my first massage in Dec 1995. Within a week of having that experience I was signed up for the Diploma course for 1996, all lights were green. All my senses knew this was my long-term path & I’m so glad this spoke clearly to me.

A woman receiving Remedial Massage Therapy

Remedial Massage

Remedial Massage works with a goal in mind, addressing specific pain points and will often involve a series of session where your therapist is constantly assessing for change and improvements.  An experienced and qualified Remedial Massage Therapist will have a vast toolbox of techniques that can be incorporated into your treatments according to your needs and will modify these techniques based on your feedback.  Once the desired level is achieved it is recommended to move to regular maintenance sessions which may include other forms of therapeutic massage.

A Hot Stones Massage completely relaxing to both mind & body.

Remedial + Hot Stone Massage

This treatment is a combination of Remedial and Hot Stone Massage together that can be completely relaxing and therapeutic.  Great for those requiring a gentler treatment and/or for those seeking deeper pressure to relieve specific pain points.
Hot Stone Massage can be completely relaxing to both mind and body.  The penetrating heat from the basalt stones begins almost immediately to soothe and calm the nervous system and melt away the effects of stress from the body.  Muscle tension gently eases under the smooth pressure of the stones, allowing circulation to increase.

Rebates available through your Health Fund when combined with Remedial Massage.

45mins. -  $85  /  60mins  -  $104  /  75mins  -  $123  /  90mins  -  $138  /  (New Offer) 120mins  -  $170

Reflexology has many beneficial & lasting calming effects.

Reflexology / Foot Massage

The basic principle of reflexology is that congestion/tension in any part of the foot mirrors the congestion/tension in a corresponding body part.  These reflex points can also be found on the hands and other body areas, however, the most commonly treated area is the feet.  Reflexology may have many beneficial and lasting effects while soothing, calming, balancing and boosting the entire body.
Reflexology may help you feel less stressed, more relaxed and more energized.  But the benefits might go surprisingly deeper if you have certain health issues.  Some people with medical conditions find that they feel less pain and discomfort if they have less stress, and reflexology may help with that.  Helps relieve plantar fasciitis pain, sore, tired and achy feet.
Great for those seeking the benefits of relaxation through 'touch' while being completely clothed.
NOTE: Claimable when combining Reflexology with at least 30mins of Remedial Massage.

Gentle flowing massage for deep relaxation.

Relaxation + Remedial Massage

Relaxation massage provides a general loosen up.  It helps boost the immune system by stimulating the lymphatics and improving circulation.  It is a gentle, flowing treatment that relieves muscular tension and promotes a general sense of relaxation and wellbeing. Many people seek relaxation massage after a long week of work or to help improve their mental health as it allows the body to deeply rest and recharge.
It's a pain free therapy and an effective way to relieve stress and relax the mind, body and soul.

Full body Lymphatic Massage

Lymphatic Drainage

I use the Vodder Method.  This is a gentle, non-invasive manual technique that has a powerful effect on the body.  MLD is a light, skin stretching technique that help promotes the movement of lymphatic fluid out of the swollen limb.  It should not be confused with a traditional massage.  MLD is specifically focused on the lymph vessels to encourage the flow of lymphatic fluid.  MLD is applied to your unaffected areas first, making it possible for the fluid to move out of the affected and congested areas.  MLD therefore, improves sluggish lymph by speeding up the lymph fluid flow through the lymphatics.
Diaphragmatic breathing is also performed to open up the deep lymphatic pathways.

Please talk with your Health Fund regarding rebates for Lymphatic Drainage.
